Appreciating food, more than ever

During the pandemic, I haven't faced any serious restrictions in terms of food. But, of course, there were times I was worried about food shortages.

Then, Ramadan started.

What does it mean to be sustained?

What does it mean to have all we want when we want?

I have been volunteering for Refugees International Japan (RIJ) since 2010.

We are now planning a series of events commemorating the food and food culture around the world.

It was also very timely that Jane Best from RIJ sent me this wonderful video from the UK's Channel 4:
